The Size and Type of Your Rent-a-Car
Take a moment to consider the purpose of booking a hire car and who’s going to be travelling. How many suitcases will you have or how much space will you need for possessions you’re planning to move?

All our vehicles offer great value but the cheapest option may not always be the best or most appropriate for your plans.

As a general rule, the smaller the vehicle the lower the price. The smallest may though only have three doors. That’s fine if you’re travelling light on your own or as a couple over short distances. Midsize and large sedans work well for bigger parties. You could consider an SUV 7-seater or even a people mover for up to 12 passengers.

If you’re moving, you may need a ute, box trailer, or truck. It’s always worth erring on the side of caution and having a little extra space. This can save having to do multiple journeys when you can’t fit everyone or everything in.

Booking a Hire Car Using Our Online Form
This is the easy bit. Just before we get going, it’s worth checking our special offers to see if there’s anything there that might be a good match. If we have any offers available, we will typically display them on our website’s front page where you’ll also find our booking module.

You’ll be able to pick up your vehicle at our Brisbane airport or Cleveland location. In the booking module, you’ll need to do the following:

  • Choose where you want to pick up and drop off your vehicle
  • Select the vehicle type, pick-up and drop-off dates & times
  • Confirm you’re aged between 25 and 80
  • Enter a discount code if you have one

The rental of some vehicles, such as our large people carriers, is conditional on a minimum rental period.

Online Car Rental Insurance and Excess Explained
Once you’ve made your initial choices in the booking module, we’ll present you with a choice of 3 insurance options.

Each vehicle comes with basic insurance cover that carries an excess you may have to pay in the event of an accident. We will hold a pre-authorised security deposit against your credit card to cover any potential excess.

You can reduce this potential excess by increasing your vehicle rental charge. You’ll have the choice of 3 types of cover: risk-taker, stress-free, and platinum. Simply select the option you feel most comfortable with.

Larger people carriers, trucks, and vans may also incur a bond that’s held for the duration of the rental. These can range from $250 to $2500 depending on the vehicle and insurance option taken.

Optional Online Car Hire Extras
You’ve now made your insurance selection so it’s time to choose any preferred optional extras. These include forward or rear-facing baby seats, booster seats, roof racks, or luggage trailers for which there is a small daily charge.

Some of these extras may only be available on certain types of vehicles. There may be a charge for optional GPS depending on the vehicle.

Our vehicles come with 200 free kilometres for each day of your rental period. You have the option to increase the number of kilometres you’d like to include for a small fixed per/km charge. There’s a fixed mandatory charge for all airport pick-ups and drop-offs.

All our vehicles carry electronic e-tags to pick up toll charges. We’ll automatically debit any toll charges you incur back to your chosen credit card.

Your Personal Details
Once you’ve taken out any extras, we’ll just need a few personal details from you. These include:

  • Your name, address, email address, and mobile telephone number
  • Driver’s licence details (number, state and expiry date)

If you’re flying into Brisbane, it’s really important that we have your flight details. You won’t then need to inform us of delays. We’ll monitor the progress of your flight online. That enables us to ensure we’re there to meet you on arrival at our airport location.

Availability and Booking Confirmation
Once we receive your online booking request, our aim is to get back to you as quickly as possible with an email confirmation. If that’s not possible, we’ll get in touch to advise you about available options.

You’ll then need to complete the pre-hire process by e-signing the rental agreement and making the required payment. This usually needs to happen at least 48 hours before the booking starts.
